Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges.
  • Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements for insurance products, processes, and systems.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct business process modeling and analysis to streamline workflows.
  • Recommend changes and improvements to existing insurance processes.
  • Analyze insurance data to extract valuable insights and trends.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to provide actionable information for decision-makers.
  • Ensure data is properly collected, analyze, and synthesize data related to insurance operations, including insurance premiums, claims, customer retention, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Quality and integrity for accurate reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including CRM, data management, actuarial, business operations, finance, and IT; to develop solutions that address specific challenges.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring effective communication.
  • Assess proposed technology solutions and evaluate their alignment with business needs.
  • Create detailed documentation of business processes, requirements, and system specifications and update as needed.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations and compliance requirements. Ensure that insurance operations and systems adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analyst Professional, CBAP) a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data handling and analysis tools as well as visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau and Power BI).
  • Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, claims, and industry-specific software.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Skills, Qualifications and Requirements:

  • MS office, Teams
  • SQL or other equivalent data or programming skills
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is often preferred.
