Responsibilities:

• This is a C-Suite Executive level position as an Officer of the Company.
• Confident and aptly able to lead direct reporting managers and vendors/suppliers.
• Works closely with the Animal Programs department, the Tours department, and the Merchandising department (F&B and Retail Merchandising) to develop a strategic infrastructure Plan with a detailed budget for the business in consultation with the CFO and CEO, and agreement of the Board. Ensure buy-in to this plan throughout the Company. The plan is to include all aspects of infrastructure, with further detailed sections below. Ancillary oversight is required to be done for a variety of functions including:
• Working with HR on Recruiting and training staff.
• Monitoring capital expenditures, operational expenditures, utilities and fuel usage and costs.
• Gathering equipment, construction and maintenance vendor information.
• Negotiating equipment, construction and maintenance procurement and monitoring vendor performance.
• Overseeing various infrastructure operations, with further detailed sections below
• Implement and execute Strategic and Project Plans within appropriately agreed timeframes, with key financial and operating deliverables identified that can be measured and reported; ensure compliance with the Plan.
• Prepares departmental reports.
• Analyzes monthly financial reports to determine and improve the commercial success of each capital and maintenance project.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Operations Management, Business Management, or equivalent from four-year College or university; or a minimum of ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a complex infrastructure institution involving high-powered high-capacity mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• General proficiency and several years of hands-on experience in systems comprising the following areas: engineering, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical. A concentration of experience and a professional license if applicable, in one of the above is preferred.
• Knowledge of industry standards for independent construction contractors, such as bid procedures and typical content, liability, and payment procedures.
