Our client is a rapidly expanding global consultancy specializing in commissioning, qualification, validation, and operational readiness services for mission-critical industries, including Data Centres and FDA-regulated environments. With a strong international presence and an unwavering commitment to excellence, they are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Manager to join their growing team in Tokyo, Japan.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Commissioning Manager will play a pivotal role in leading commissioning activities for large-scale data centre projects. This role involves overseeing mission-critical equipment testing, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Working closely with clients, contractors, and vendors, the successful candidate will be instrumental in driving commissioning strategies, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless facility handover, while following safety and regulatory requirements.

A successful candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering with a demonstrable track record in Data Centre commissioning. A strong proficiency in English and Japanese, written and spoken. You will have experience overseeing vendor coordination, QA/QC processes, and MEP equipment start-up while providing consultative expertise on commissioning methodologies and strategies to implement efficiency and test the data centre.
