Data Engineer

Responsibilities:
- The Data Engineer will be responsible for building systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for other organization members to interpret.
- Create and streamline data pipelines to extract, transform and load data from various sources into database and data lakes
- Design and build data schemas and pre-processed datasets to effectively store this data and make it available in a timely manner
- Collaborate with researchers and developers to gather and scope requirements
- Manage and execute projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering, transformation and modeling
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Computer Science or related field from a top 10 school
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL for data retrieval, pipelining and transformation
- Streaming processes
- AWS knowledge concerning computing and storage for data pipelines
- Experience with data modeling and data warehousing
- Experience with retrieval and visualization of large data sets
- Experience with high frequency time series data at scale
- Strong communicator
