Responsibilities:

• Manages the operations of the Network Operations (NETOPs) and the security Operations Center (SOC) to ensure timely and accurate resolutions to end-user problems and that ongoing project work is in adherence to industry best practices
• Ensures the safeguards, both physical and electronic, are in place to provide for the security and confidentiality of data and data systems
• Identifies the needs of and develops solutions and options that mitigates risks, creates efficiency and enhances productivity and customer services
• Leads project teams both within IS and across and prepares project recommendations, documentation, RFPs, and tender documents for new initiatives
• Evaluates best practices and advances in technology, conducts relevant research on opportunities and challenges for systems and develops proposals for projects for approval and inclusion in the budget and ensures their implementation;
• Assesses how changing business processes and operations may impact the current information systems platform
• Designs and implements continuous strategies to ensure that is able to recover quickly from foreseeable disasters by putting in place and maintaining sufficient backup and recovery procedures to meet the business needs
• Designs and implements real-time monitoring systems to ensure that system availability meets divisional and organizational goals
• Plans, directs, delegates/maintaining all projects and assignments of the Division to ensure that they are carried out effectively and efficiently in accordance with the policies, procedures, and goals and objective of the Division
• Establishes relationships and meets with the external agencies to discuss and evaluate products and services and reviews and recommends on all contracts for IS services to ensure gets value for money.

Required:

• A Bachelor’s degree, or related experience in Information Systems (Technology)
• Seven (7) years of experience as an Information Systems Manager
• PMP certification or five years’ experience as a Project Management Leader
• Experience drafting and implementing strategic plans
• Network and technical skills relating to a large Microsoft based multi campus network
• Familiarity with network monitoring and reporting systems.

• iSCSI in a multi-site environment
• VMware (in a multi-site HA cluster environment)
• Hyper-v (in a multi-site HA cluster environment)
• Firewall devices
• Networking Concepts, LAN and WAN including fiber and campus WIFI
• Internet Security
• Network Security.
