Responsibilities:

• Provide line management of the multi-geographic dispersed Development and Platform Engineering teams, both in terms of workload and career development to help meet the innovation aspirations.
• Help the firm shape its Low/No Code strategy, leading towards a Citizen Developer culture.
• Feed in to the Business Area and IT Department’s Planning and Budget Processes
• Advise the CTO and Head of Applications on modern ways of working to deliver software and applications in an Agile fashion and champion the journey towards a DevOps style culture.
• Ensure that all relevant documentation including design and build documents are kept current and fully understood by all relevant teams within the firm.
• Create and maintain accurate resource planning documentation, estimations against designs and ensure pieces of work are adequately resourced throughout their lifecycle.
• Work with the Head of Applications and Head of Service Management to ensure new products and features are transitioned into production support properly.
• In conjunction with the relevant Solutions Architects, act as the champion for Development best Practices and Standards introducing new trends, tooling and trends where relevant or necessary.
• Continual research on new software and working practices to remain abreast of developments in across the IT industry in multiple verticals and not just Legal.
• Advise and contribute to designs to ensure their smooth deployment and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

Required:

• University degree in Computer Science with 3 Years in a Lead Developer type role
• Experienced Lead Developer managing team to deploy and continuously deliver and enhance applications leveraging CI/CD
• Agile delivery culture leveraging SCRUM, specifically SAFe
• Experience leveraging Azure DevOps for full ALM management
• Full stack development and Low/No Code development
• Modern API Management services and micro services architecture
• Applications integrations and the API economy
• Microsoft Azure, leveraging services like Logic Apps, Durable Functions, APIM, Containers and other PaaS services
• Microsoft SQL, Dataverse and Document Databases
• AzureAD
• Development languages such as C#.NET and Javascript platforms, AngularJS and NodeJS
