Responsibilities:

  • Defines, recommends and executes strategic and tactical objectives that address how changing business processes and operations may impact the current information systems platform.
  • Creates processes and policies to identify the needs of company and develops solutions and options that are in line with company goals and objectives, ensuring appropriateness for the organization and mitigating risks with an emphasis on industry standard security best practices, creating efficiency and enhancing productivity and customer service.
  • Evaluates best practices and advances in technology, conducts relevant and informed research on opportunities and challenges for company systems and develops proposals for projects for approval and inclusion in the budget.
  • Plans, directs and delegates actions, projects and work assignments to ensure that company strategic plan is implemented.
  • Ensures and/or participates in discussions and contract negotiations with third parties and leads the tending process.
  • Plans, directs and delegates strategies and actions to ensure the Division and company is technologically advanced.
  • Ensures that the inventory of company information systems and equipment is created and a plan is developed and executed to ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of the systems.
  • Ensures that the Division operates in compliance with company Human Resources policies and procedures and that people are treated in a fair, consistent and transparent manner to promote a professional work environment and professional workforce.
  • Provides leadership that inspires and promotes a strong sense of Team success, shared knowledge and development of each member of the team.
  • Implements processes and provides leadership to ensure the Division has a shared commitment to achieve the goals and objectives of company and the achievement of divisional and individuals goals.
  • Is a positive ambassador at conferences, meetings and events and presents information, brings back ideas, and makes recommendations to improve the regulatory regime and operations.
  • Establishes a culture of customer excellence where staff engage effectively to ensure that customer needs are understood and met.

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (Technology) is required.  A graduate degree is preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of experience as an IS Manager.
  • Several years’ experience as an In-project Management Leader.
  • Several years’ experience preparing RFPs and negotiating contracts.
  • Experience drafting and implementing strategic plans.

The following knowledge and skills are required

  • Archiving of data files, databases and emails.
  • Microsoft SharePoint.
  • SQL Server 2016/2019.
  • Business Analysis methodologies and structures including Agile.
  • Microsoft Office tools.
  • Object-Oriented programming concepts.
  • Knowledge of OLAP/SQL Server SSAS & SSIS Services and Data Mining/Analytics.
  • Project Management tools.
  • Contract negotiation and RFP’s.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
