Responsibilities:

  • Based in Dublin but responsible for IT service in the EMEA region, assuming ownership of all elements of IT service for that region. Accountability for maintaining expected EMEA IT Service levels.
  • Collaborates with IT team members on the development, management and support of messaging systems, including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Teams and mobile device management technologies.
  • Manages and supports voice and data communication technology for the region, including telephone systems, internal conferencing, and local and wide area networks. Works with regional office managers and with telecommunications vendors to deliver stability and value.
  • Management responsibility for the day to day running of the region’s IT Service Desk staff. Ensures that sufficient cover is provided at all times such that IT service levels meet the requirements of the business. Responsible for recruitment, development and performance management of Service Desk staff in the region.
  • Acts as liaison to third party providers.
  • Works closely with IT Security Team to help manage the firm’s security strategies effectively throughout the region. Such strategies include support and advice on web filtering, virus protection, firewall and intrusion detection, and log and event monitoring in conjunction with the IT Security Team.
  • Liaison between end users and IT, interpreting the business requirements of EMEA users to IT, and also communicating the technical capabilities of IT to the users. Attends Partners’ meetings and is available to consult to support internal and external client relationships.
  • Acts as a Technical Evangelist to ensure that return on technology investment is maximized.
  • Work closely with the Project Management Office to co-ordinate and resource regional projects
  • Assists with the preparation of the IT budget and ensures that the IT spend in the region adheres to fiscal controls by monitoring financials during the course of the year.
  • Drafts reports as required to reflect performance of EMEA IT service and Service Desk.
  • Carries out any other duties commensurate with the purpose of the job.

Required:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a managerial IT role.
  • A professional IT Certification such as the MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong IT skills including extensive knowledge of contemporary Microsoft and networking technologies
