Responsibilities:

• Working with key business stakeholders ensure business requirements are clearly defined, mapped, and delivered to the business, ensuring they are fit for purpose, tested, provide required functionality, reporting and efficiency targets identified.
• Using different engagement techniques (interviews, shadowing, workshops) work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and document/map current business processes, gaps, and challenges.
• Proactively collaborate, identify, and formulate ways for the business to improve based on findings and research.
• Assist in the exploration of different solutions and approaches, their risks, benefits, and impacts to recommend, define and map future state (TOM – Target Operating model).
• Use data modeling techniques to identify ways in which the business can operate more effectively.
• Collaborate on change recommendations, clearly communicating to all levels of the business.
• Contribute and support workshops, training, and support sessions for business.
• Ensure business analysis best practices are implemented, timelines are met, and documentation is delivered to a high standard.
• Proactively work on projects and initiatives as directed.
• Support other Information Technology & Product Solutions initiatives as identified.
• What we need from you On the daily Acting as a Business Analyst resource on a day-to-day perspective:
• Supporting the business by providing business analyst support to internal users (across all process, systems, and associated best practice).
• Provide support to external Clients in conjunction with the business, where required.
• Participate in workstreams on projects across the organization, if required.
• Training – Assist in Training staff at all levels to ensure correct and efficient adoption of new processes and systems.
• Diligent approach to business analyst tasks completing with a high degree of accuracy and competence.
• Provide a flexible approach to supporting internal users in different locations and time zones.
• In the event of BCP or significant system issue/downtime, provide support as required/until resolution in place. The art of artful thinking
• Provide ad-hoc day-to-day support on requests that come up.
• Work with clients on any demand they may have that Catalyst can assist with.
• Share insights to enable development of new processes and procedures that will create business efficiency and support delivery of client excellence in service.
• Maintain awareness of industry, regulatory, jurisdictional, and other trends that could affect the business.
• Contribute to the creation, development and implementation of new products and solutions to accommodate changing customer needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations staff, business users, project, and implementation managers to achieve desired and elegant solutions.

Required:

• +2 years minimum working in Business Analyst roles.
• Beneficial training and/or certification: IIBA certifications in Business Analysis (or similar).
• Any additional Business or IT qualifications, or further education would be preferred.
• Preferred experience working within the financial services sector, hedge / private equity fund administration industry.
• Expert level use of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Visio.
• Previous experience working and supporting internal users and providing professional service.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English (writing & speaking).
