Database Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Performance of applications and processes
• Run scripts or jobs to support ad-hoc processes
• Provide expertise on ETL solutions
• Database documentation, data standards, procedures and reference architectures
• Provide design and support expertise for HA solutions.
• Install and configure the VM and OS to support SQL Server
• Install and test new versions of database management systems
• Monitor the SQL Server environment to deal with issues before they become significant problems
• Ensure the servers supporting SQL Server are working correctly
• Resolve existing issues quickly and effectively
• Use automation scripts, like Powershell, for repeatable tasks.

Required:

• Microsoft SQL Server 2014 onwards
• Azure DevOps
• Powershell Automation
• CI\CD
• Clustering and Always On
• Experience of managing multiple large DBMS
• Managing the MS SQL database security
• System Centre management stack (SCOM, SCCM, SCORCH)
• Experience from Professional Services, Banking, Financial Services or Legal
• Experience working with an international business in multiple time-zones
