Head of Planning – Major Contractor – Qatar

Our client is a leading Major Contracting organisation in the Middle East, based from Qatar. Operating across multiple sectors ranging from social and economic infrastructure projects to energy and oil & gas, to commercial and residential projects, they have gained a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects and are responsible for some of Qatar’s most recognisable landmarks.

With a recent organisational restructure, they have several new and exciting leadership positions that they are looking to resource. As part of this, they are seeking a Head of Planning to take control of the pre and post-contract planning and scheduling function for the business. You will be responsible for recruiting and training an effective team of planners and schedulers as well as driving all planning activities from estimating through to on-site construction projects.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or another related degree and have a demonstrable track record in delivering planning services for large and complex projects in both the work winning and delivery environment. You will be a strong leader and motivator of teams and developer of people. Prior experience working in Qatar or the Middle East would be advantageous
