Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop the overall Data Management and Business Intelligence Strategy.
• Define and build data models using SQL, Dataverse, SharePoint, or other data sources.
• Manage and maintain the overall SQL Estate.
• Proactively identify the data needs of the business and lead initiatives to address them.
• Build complex workflows to be deployed across many channels, including but not limited to Teams, SharePoint, and Dynamics 365 web UI.
• Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure data integrity and database security.
• Test business continuity & disaster recovery data protection, backup and recovery plans.

Required:

• A Bachelor’s degree in management information systems or similar.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience working as a DBA or Data Engineer.
• Advanced SSRS, SSIS and Power BI report writing skills required.
• A Microsoft SQL server certification, 2012/2014 or higher preferable.
• Expert knowledge of database design, SQL querying (optimization), indexing, scripting, ETL, and report optimization, tuning & performance.
• Experience working with Azure Databases, Dataverse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Studio, Azure Pipelines, Purview.
• Advanced SSRS, SSIS and Power BI report writing skills required.
• Strong technical background with solid understanding of storage, networks, operating systems and security.
