Senior Legal Counsel, Shipping/Engineering (Indonensia)

Our client, a Maritime/Engineering Company with a strong regional presence, is looking to expand their legal team with a Legal Counsel hire based in Indonesia. Reporting to a Head of Legal, this counsel will be the counsel responsible for legal support and engaging local regulatory bodies.
The ideal candidate is:-
– Commonwealth/ Indonesian lawyer, with at least 8 years of PQE
– Trained and practiced with top law firms, or an established in-house team
– Strong experience in General corporate commercial, compliance, claims, insurance and regulatory advisory
– Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage given the need to interface directly with regulators
– Adaptable, commercially-savvy, energetic
This will be an exciting role for an Indonesian Legal counsel looking to take on a challenge and build up the legal function domestically, working closely with C-suites in a high-visibility role.
