Responsibilities:

• General upkeep around the property such as collecting/changing garbage bins, collecting debris, and leaf blowing around the property
• Minor landscaping and gardening work from time to time
• Upkeep for the exterior/interior of the buildings such as paint touch ups, pressure washing walkways/buildings, cleaning windows and railings, etc. when required
• Addressing minor plumbing issues like leaks or clogs as well as replacing outlets, switches, or light fixtures
• Installing, repairing, or replacing carpet tiles and ceiling tiles as needed
• Respond to faults / tenant complaints and provide recommendations to the property management team on the best resolution
• Attending and assisting any on-site visits by contractors to monitor works conducted and provide access to various locations when needed
• Assist other maintenance technicians on various projects and general maintenance upkeep around the properties
• Utilize proper tools, safety measures, and Personal protective Equipment PPE in all work actions
• Keeping tools clean, organized, and properly maintained to ensure they are in good working condition when needed
• Ordering of maintenance supplies/parts as needed
• Prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner meeting deadlines
• Must be willing to be on call for after-hour emergencies. May be required to work overtime from time to time
• Other related duties assigned by the Assistant Property Manager, Property Manager and Senior Property Manager
• Any other related property management/maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Must be on island, preferably Caymanian, status, PR, RERC holder
• Must have a clean driving license and be over 25 years old to be able to get insured on the company vehicle
• A background in commercial property would be ideal but not essential
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a handyman and have done painting, basic electrics, plumbing and landscaping
