As one of the world’s leading real estate and infrastructure firms, our client is overseeing the operations of a new 20MW hyperscale data centre in Osaka — a mission-critical facility driving digital infrastructure across Asia. With international leadership and high-performance ambitions, our client is seeking a Data Centre Operations Director to take full charge of facility operations and client delivery on the ground.

This is more than routine facilities oversight. You’ll command responsibility for the data centre’s day-to-day performance — managing vendor relationships, driving uptime, leading operational strategy, and ensuring seamless coordination across property management and regional technical teams.

You’ll serve as the key interface between our client and its JV data centre partner — steering contracts, aligning global benchmarks with local performance, and setting the bar for operational excellence in Japan. From managing preventive maintenance programs and BMS systems to overseeing compliance, SLAs, and client reporting, this is your chance to run a flagship facility with 24/7/365 reliability.

Your role places you at the heart of international collaboration — bridging expectations from international leadership, Japanese contractors, and multinational consultants. If you’ve led operations for high-availability facilities, have a deep technical understanding of data centre infrastructure, and thrive in culturally complex environments, our client wants your leadership.

Capability in both English and Japanese is essential, as is a proven track record in managing critical systems, vendor teams, and cross-border client relationships.
