Our client is a leading EPCM contractor specialising in the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences markets. Having been firmly established in Singapore for several years, they are now entering a significant growth phase, with a strong pipeline of high-profile biotech and pharmaceutical projects across the region. In line with this expansion, they are seeking experienced professionals to join their dynamic and growing team.

As such, they are looking for a Project Design Lead to take ownership of the design delivery for a major Biotech Facility in Singapore. In this high-impact role, you will lead multi-disciplinary design coordination and ensure seamless integration across architectural, process, MEP, and cleanroom design elements. From concept to detailed design through to construction support, you will be responsible for managing the technical design scope, engaging with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring design excellence in line with GMP and regulatory standards.

You will play a central role in driving project design strategy, managing key interfaces, and providing leadership to both internal teams and external consultants. The ability to project manage design across multiple engineering streams will be essential to maintaining project alignment, ensuring collaboration between disciplines, and delivering high-quality outcomes to schedule.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or another related technical discipline. You will have extensive experience in the design and delivery of large-scale Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or Life Sciences facilities, ideally within the Singapore or broader Southeast Asian market. A solid understanding of GMP compliance, cleanroom design principles, and local authority requirements is essential. Experience working for an EPCM firm, major contractor, or engineering consultancy is highly desirable.

Fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential, as the role will involve coordination with both local and regional stakeholders, including Chinese-speaking clients, vendors, and design partners.
