Known for combining creative design thinking with strategic insight, the firm partners with global organisations to shape future-focused environments and transformative spatial solutions. As part of its next phase of growth and thought leadership, the firm is establishing a new global Research & Insight Division dedicated to exploring the future of the built environment.
In line with this strategic initiative, they are seeking an Associate, Architecture Research to join this newly created division. Conceived as a blue-sky think tank, the research function will explore emerging trends shaping architecture, cities, and the built environment, examining how technology, sustainability, demographics, and social change will influence the future of design. While the role offers flexibility on global location initially, the longer-term ambition is for the research capability to be anchored in Bangalore as the division grows.
As such, they are looking for a curious and analytically minded professional who is passionate about understanding how architecture and the built environment are evolving globally. In this role, you will support research initiatives examining global architectural trends, urban development, sustainability strategies, design innovation, and emerging technologies impacting the way buildings and cities are conceived and delivered.
You will contribute to the development of research publications, white papers, and strategic insight reports, gathering and analysing case studies, identifying global design trends, and translating complex information into clear and engaging narratives. Working closely with the Head of Research and design leaders across the practice, you will help connect research thinking with real-world architectural design and advisory work.
The successful candidate will bring a background in architecture, urban design, architectural research, or a related discipline, with a strong interest in the future of cities and the evolving role of architecture in shaping human experience and environmental performance. You will have strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to synthesise complex ideas into clear insights and visually compelling presentations.
An interest in sustainability, urbanisation, digital design tools, and emerging technologies influencing architecture will be highly advantageous, along with the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary and international teams.
