Responsibilities:

• Manage vessel clearance for incoming and outgoing shipments with Cayman Islands Customs and Port Authority.
• Schedule port operations and coordinate with relevant authorities and staff.
• Ensure customs clearance before cargo operations begin and verify container counts against load lists.
• Track, monitor, and return empty containers within the designated timeframe.
• Oversee security checks on empty containers, ensuring compliance and maintaining records of seal numbers.
• Prepare operational reports upon completion of vessel operations.
• Process documentation, including empty northbound bills of lading and customs clearance for shipments.
• Develop weekly work schedules for cargo staff.
• Handle interisland freight transfers and process insurance claims for lost or damaged cargo.
• Conduct cargo inspections, including measurements and photographs, as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience in cargo operations, logistics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of customs clearance and port regulations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to manage schedules, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and track shipments accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in administrative tasks, including customer service, data entry, and document preparation.
• Ability to work independently and respond efficiently to operational needs.
