VP – Compliance – Cayman Islands

INVENIO Global Search have been retained by a highly regarded and prestigious boutique professional services organisation, to secure an experienced VP Of Compliance to join their growing Cayman team.

Reporting Directly to the Global Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for leading a team of compliance managers located in Cayman and other highly regulated jurisdictions.  

Responsibilities:

• Act as DMLRO/ MLRO / AMLCO.
• Guide the team to develop compliance strategies.
• Identify and report irregular activity to the relevant body.
• Review and amend compliance manuals and matrices to meet the requirements of the regulator.
• Work with the training department to ensure all AML training is delivered across the business.
• Oversee the KYC process and Compliance Managers to ensure clients are onboarded in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Provide approvals for high risk matters.
• Support the Client Monitoring Manager to investigate screening alerts.
• Identify process improvement efficiencies and lead change management projects.
• Provide leadership support to the compliance team.
• Annual performance lifecycle management for the team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience, in a relevant position.
• Relevant professional qualifications – CPA, CAMS, CIA, ICA, etc.
• An advanced understanding of the KYC & AML requirements of a variety of fund structures.  
• Prior cross jurisdictional team management experience.
