Our client is a leading international design consultancy, recognised for delivering innovative and sustainable architectural solutions across commercial and mixed-use developments. With a growing pipeline in Malaysia, they are now seeking a Concept Design Lead to drive the creative direction of landmark commercial building projects in Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur.

This is a senior design leadership role responsible for shaping concept strategy, setting creative direction, and ensuring design excellence across large-scale, high-profile developments in Malaysia. You will work closely with local and regional leadership, as well as multidisciplinary teams, to develop bold, future-ready concepts that respond to local context, planning requirements, and market needs.

You will play a pivotal role in building and inspiring a high-performance design culture, mentoring teams, elevating standards, and establishing best practices that consistently deliver quality and innovation. A key part of the role will involve engaging clients and stakeholders early in the design process, articulating a clear design vision, and ensuring solutions align with commercial goals, functionality, cultural considerations, and buildability.

Given the nature of the projects and regulatory environment, candidates must be a LAM Part III (LAM 3) Qualified Person (QP), able to lead and support submissions and compliance requirements in Malaysia.

The successful candidate will be a proven design leader with significant experience in commercial architecture and a strong portfolio of large-scale built work and or iconic concept projects. You will bring a strong creative vision, sound technical judgement, and the ability to translate client ambition into compelling, deliverable concepts. Experience within an international design consultancy or global architectural practice is highly advantageous, along with the ability to lead diverse teams and influence senior stakeholders.
