With a growing footprint and strong project momentum in Malaysia, they are now seeking a commercially astute and design-focused Director, Head of Architecture Business Unit to lead their Kuala Lumpur operation, with a clear focus on commercial building and corporate campus design across Malaysia.

This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for driving the performance and growth of the architecture business unit in the Malaysian market. You will set the strategic direction, oversee design delivery, and ensure operational excellence across a portfolio of high-profile workplace, commercial and campus projects. Working closely with regional leadership, you will lead business development initiatives, deepen relationships with key clients and stakeholders, and strengthen the firm’s positioning across Malaysia’s competitive design and real estate landscape.

A core part of the role will be building and nurturing a high-performance culture in Kuala Lumpur. You will attract, develop and mentor top talent, and foster an environment of creativity, collaboration and accountability. With P&L responsibility, you will balance strong commercial outcomes with uncompromising design quality, ensuring the business continues to deliver impactful work that aligns with client expectations and local market requirements.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished leader with significant experience in architecture and commercial building design, ideally within multinational or large-scale environments and with strong exposure to the Malaysian market. You will bring a proven track record of delivering landmark projects, leading studios or business units, and driving both creative excellence and commercial success. Strong stakeholder management, client engagement and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and influence at senior levels.
