Our client is an experiential hospitality group developing a new generation of luxury and lifestyle resorts across Saudi Arabia. These destinations move beyond the traditional hotel model, combining accommodation with wellness, leisure, and experience-led components. Each project is designed to feel distinctive and grounded in its environment, with an emphasis on operational intelligence rather than excess.

The group is entering a new phase of development and is seeking an experienced Pre-Opening General Manager to lead upcoming resort openings in the Kingdom. Pre-opening activity is scheduled to commence later in the year, and the role will focus entirely on setting properties up for long-term success rather than short-term theatrics.

This is a pure pre-opening leadership role. The General Manager will be responsible for establishing the operational framework, building and aligning leadership teams, and creating the culture, systems, and rhythms required for complex lifestyle resorts to open smoothly. The focus is on clarity, commercial discipline, and execution — ensuring that each opening is controlled, realistic, and sustainable.

This is not a role for a “do-it-all” operator. The successful candidate will come from a strong core discipline, such as Rooms, F&B, or a comparable operational background, and will understand that effective pre-opening leadership is about recruiting well, setting direction, and enabling Heads of Department to deliver. Presence, judgement, and the ability to simplify complexity are more important than volume or ego.

The ideal candidate is commercially astute, calm under pressure, and experienced in destination or emerging markets. They are comfortable working across cultures, balancing brand intent with operational reality, and leading teams through the ambiguity and intensity of pre-opening phases.
