Temporary Office Manager/Practice Manager

Responsibilities:

  • The Office/Practice Manager will lead, oversee and supervise select personnel and the administrative work of the office
  • Deal with all matters to do with a business model and will be a competent leader
  • Act as the principal operational manager for the Office, providing management and leadership in the administrative, functions of the Office by overseeing the day to day operations of the office and developing and implementing appropriate plans, policies, projects and systems
  • Manage and develop the administrative support team, their activities and resources
  • Manage and supervise office projects
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager and to assist the Chief Financial Officer as and when required
  • Manage and develop internal systems to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Manage and ensure adherence to all aspects of compliance, data retention, data protection and internal audit.

Requirements:
 

  • Ideally a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in a professional office/legal practice management or similar role
  • Experience in developing ideas for the strategical development of the company
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills with focus on employee coaching and development
  • Proven track record of managing a busy professional office environment
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ideally hold or working towards a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, management or related field
  • Excellent writing, research and negotiation skills and able to render prompt and sound advice on very short notice and make decisions under pressure
  • Mature and experienced and able to mentor, coach and train
