Our client, a global engineering and building services consultancy, is expanding its mission-critical portfolio in Malaysia, anchored by the delivery of a landmark 130MW data centre in Johor. With a robust presence in Singapore and a reputation for excellence across Southeast Asia, they are now seeking a seasoned Head of Malaysia to lead, grow, and represent their operations in this dynamic and rapidly evolving market.

This is a senior strategic and technical leadership role. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex engineering projects—particularly large-scale data centres, while driving operational performance, managing high-performing teams, and shaping the firm’s business development strategy in Malaysia. You’ll be a key figurehead for the business locally, working closely with regional leadership and global stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery quality and sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Malaysia, with a strong technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering, and a proven track record in the design and delivery of large-scale data centres or similarly complex mission-critical facilities. Qualification as a Qualified Person (QP) is essential, as is the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across a portfolio of projects. You’ll be adept at balancing hands-on technical leadership with strategic decision-making, ensuring technical integrity across project work while mentoring and directing teams.

While business development will be a natural part of the role supported by the regional team your core strengths will lie in technical excellence, operational oversight, and people leadership.
