Chief Commercial Officer – Banking & Financial Services

A leading financial services institution in the Caribbean is seeking an accomplished Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join its executive leadership team. Reporting to the CEO, this individual will play a central role in shaping the bank’s commercial direction and driving growth across corporate, wealth management, and retail banking.

The CCO will oversee all commercial functions — from sales and client coverage to product innovation, digital banking transformation, and marketing strategy. Success in this role will come from blending strategic vision with hands-on leadership, ensuring the business delivers sustainable growth, deepens client relationships, and strengthens market position.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Strategy & Growth: Define and implement strategies that expand market share, increase revenues, and position the bank for long-term success.

• Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing commercial teams across diverse markets, ensuring accountability and a culture of excellence.

• Innovation & Digital Transformation: Drive the evolution of new products, client propositions, and digital banking initiatives that reflect shifting customer needs.

• Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a senior ambassador with governments, regulators, corporates, and financial institutions, forging strong and trusted partnerships.

• Governance & Risk: Champion a strong risk and compliance culture, ensuring adherence to international regulatory standards and operational integrity.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded executive with a proven record of delivering growth in complex financial institutions.

You will bring:

• Significant leadership experience in banking or financial services, ideally spanning multiple markets.

• A successful track record in leading commercial or sales teams to deliver ambitious growth.

• Strong knowledge across corporate, retail, and/or wealth banking segments.

• Expertise in digital banking, technology-enabled customer solutions, and modern marketing approaches.

• Credibility working with senior stakeholders such as government bodies, regulators, and corporate boards.

• Strong financial and strategic acumen, with the ability to balance innovation, profitability, and risk.

• A degree in business, finance, or economics; advanced qualifications (e.g. MBA) are an advantage.
