Our client is a well-established construction, fit-out, and engineering firm with a strong presence across Singapore, delivering high-quality interior fit-out, refurbishment, and additions & alterations (A&A) projects. Renowned for their technical expertise and client-focused approach, they have built a solid reputation across corporate offices, hospitality, retail, and commercial developments. With a growing project pipeline, they are now entering a new phase of expansion and are seeking to strengthen their commercial leadership team.

As such, they are looking for a Commercial Manager to take full ownership of project commercial performance, cost management, and contractual governance across multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for driving commercial strategy, managing project financials, and ensuring strong cost control and margin protection across the business.

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the full commercial lifecycle, from pre-contract tendering through to final accounts. Working closely with project managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors, you will ensure accurate cost planning, procurement strategy, and contract administration. A key part of the role will be identifying commercial risks and opportunities, managing variations and claims, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality and programme targets.

You will also be responsible for leading and mentoring the Quantity Surveying team, establishing best practices, and ensuring consistency in reporting, forecasting, and commercial processes. With multiple projects running concurrently, your ability to manage priorities, maintain financial visibility, and support operational teams will be critical to success.

The successful candidate will come from a strong Quantity Surveying background, with proven experience within an interior fit-out contractor environment. You will have delivered projects across corporate offices, hotels, retail, and commercial sectors, and possess a solid understanding of Singapore construction contracts and procurement processes. Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management capabilities are essential.

A detail-oriented and solutions-driven mindset, combined with the ability to operate in a fast-paced project environment, will be key. You will be expected to lead from the front, provide clear commercial direction, and work collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners to drive successful outcomes.
