Junior Immigration Coordinator

Invenio Global is seeking to hire a Junior Immigration Coordinator, the role involves supporting the immigration team to support corporate clients, or students with visa applications and immigration procedures, usually working under the guidance of senior team members. The applicant will be  responsible for preparing documentation, maintaining case databases, and liaising with government authorities (WORC, CBC and other government agencies) to ensure compliance with immigration rules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a point of contact for, employers, and authorities, providing case updates, and answering queries.
  • Prepare, review, and submit complex work permit applications via the Cayman Islands Department of Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman portal and in person.
  • Ensure compliance with the Immigration Act and all relevant regulations and policies
  • Manage the full lifecycle of applications, including new permits, renewals, transfers, amendments, and cancellations
  • Advise employers and employees on immigration requirements, timelines, and risks
  • Review and verify supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Liaise directly with government departments to resolve queries, escalations, and urgent matters
  • Track application progress and proactively follow up to ensure timely approvals
  • Maintain detailed and confidential immigration records and audit-ready files
  • Assist with compliance checks, internal audits, and reporting requirements
  • Stay updated on changes in Cayman Islands immigration laws and procedures
  • Assisting with work permit, monitoring permit expiry dates, and ensuring compliance with local immigration legislation

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1–2 years of experience in immigration, knowledge of Cayman Islands immigration law
  • Ability to carry out administrative roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of Cayman Islands work permit processes and systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Accuracy in data entry and reviewing documents.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and database management.
  • Excellent understanding of documentation requirements and compliance standards
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • University/college degree preferred
  • Ability to work independently under instruction
