Our client is a leading Engineering & Building Services Consultancy providing design and commissioning services to private and public sector clients around the world, with a well-established presence in Singapore and a strong pipeline of secured projects across their client base.

With continued growth in the mission critical sector, they are currently delivering expansion works for a Data Centre in Hougang and are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established Singapore team.

This position offers a balanced role of 50% office-based design and 50% site-based involvement, giving you the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle — from detailed engineering design through to on-site coordination and commissioning support.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing mechanical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documentation for data centre expansion works. You will take ownership of the mechanical design scope allocated to you, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with local codes and standards, and alignment with client and project requirements.

You will also manage submissions and follow up with relevant Authorities and client representatives to secure approvals, while supporting coordination with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, structural, and architectural consultants. Site involvement will include attending coordination meetings, resolving technical issues, and ensuring that installation works are delivered in accordance with design intent.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience in building services design, ideally within mission critical or data centre environments. You will have experience liaising with the relevant Local Authorities in Singapore to obtain project approvals and possess a strong understanding of local regulatory requirements. Proficiency in REVIT is advantageous but not essential.
