Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Personal Lines Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance broking, with a specialization in marine, motor, and mortgage insurance for small accounts. The Personal Lines Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 8 brokers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our clients while driving business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of 8 brokers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Client Management: Oversee the management of personal lines insurance accounts, including marine, motor, and mortgage insurance, ensuring prompt and efficient service delivery to clients.
Business Development: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the personal lines insurance portfolio, identify new business opportunities, and expand client relationships.
Risk Assessment and Analysis: Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis for personal lines insurance policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Product Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes related to personal lines insurance products, providing guidance and training to team members as needed.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, underwriters, and other key stakeholders to negotiate favorable terms and ensure competitive offerings for clients.
Performance Management: Monitor team performance against established goals and targets, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to drive continuous improvement and professional development.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, company policies, and industry best practices, mitigating risks and maintaining high standards of compliance within the team.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports, metrics, and analyses on key performance indicators, business trends, and client feedback, presenting findings to senior management as required.
Client Advocacy: Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for clients, addressing their insurance needs, inquiries, and concerns in a timely and effective manner, maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
