Responsibilities

• Lead and manage US federal tax compliance for insurance entities, including Forms 1120L and 1120PC.
• Oversee and review tax filings for life, property & casualty, reinsurance, and captive insurance companies.
• Research and interpret US tax laws and regulations relevant to the insurance industry.
• Manage client engagements and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
• Represent clients during IRS and tax audits and manage responses to tax authority inquiries.
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior tax staff and seniors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial and tax reporting.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation impacting insurance and reinsurance sectors.

Requirements

• 7+ years of U.S. tax experience with a strong focus on insurance taxation (1120L and 1120PC).
• Deep knowledge of federal tax compliance for insurance, reinsurance, and captive entities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred; CPA or MST is a plus.
• Experience managing tax engagements in a public accounting firm or insurance company.
• Solid leadership skills with experience supervising teams and managing client relationships.
• Proficient in tax research, analysis, and reporting.
