Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to litigation lawyers and legal teams.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and manage legal correspondence, pleadings, and court documents.
  • Coordinate court filings and ensure compliance with procedural deadlines.
  • Organize and maintain client files, case records, and document management systems.
  • Prepare court bundles, hearing materials, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements when required.
  • Liaise with clients, court offices, external counsel, and other stakeholders professionally and efficiently.
  • Assist with billing, time entry, expense processing, and other administrative tasks.
  • Monitor case deadlines and support the smooth progression of litigation matters.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the litigation team.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Litigation Secretary, or in a similar legal support role.
  • Strong understanding of litigation processes, court procedures, and legal documentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience preparing court bundles and managing legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Professional, proactive, and client-focused approach.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
