A leading real estate investment and management firm is seeking a Property Accountant to join its Cayman Islands office. The firm oversees a diverse portfolio comprising over 6 million square feet of commercial real estate across the United States. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a solid understanding of property-level financials and proven experience using Yardi systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain full-cycle accounting for assigned commercial properties, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and accruals.
• Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and variance analyses.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and proper coding within Yardi Voyager or Breeze (other property management / accounting systems also considered).
• Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and subledgers to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts in coordination with property managers and senior finance staff.
• Monitor CAM (common area maintenance), property tax, and insurance reconciliations.
• Support audit processes and provide required documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within the property accounting function.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate/property accounting.
• Hands-on experience with property management / accounting systems, Yardi Voyager or Breeze is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with U.S. commercial real estate operations is a strong advantage.
