Responsibilities:

• Generate Purchase Orders (POs) from software module for all stock requests or purchases
• Complete POs for each supplier and or customer on a fixed reorder schedule.  Ensure reorder-points are met and proper levels of stock are maintained
• Ensure that POs are signed before sending to suppliers
• Follow up and ensure suppliers acknowledge each PO
• All requests for new items must be presented with correct paperwork prior to set up in the system
• Notify Sales team of new items by providing a sell sheet with item cost, UPC code, case pack, picture (if available), availability date and any other pertinent information prior to arrival on Island
• Notify the Sales team of any item that is inactive in the warehouse or has a short shelf life remaining
• Ensure all incoming supplier invoices are matched against POs
• Ensure that all all-shipping documents, (supplier invoices, purchase orders, certificates etc.) are collected and provided to Customs Clearance in a timely manner
• Create claims following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for items received incorrectly, damaged goods or overages
• Check daily stock levels and order accordingly using local and overseas chains
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by Management

Requirements:
 

• Must be currently working in purchasing ordering supplies internationally in the food/retails/wholesale industry
• 3 years minimum experience working in a purchasing position in food/retail/wholesale companies
• Must have experience in corresponding and negotiating with international suppliers
• Proven experience in analyzing market trends for ordering purposes
• Knowledgeable and experienced in purchasing product requirements for marketing initiatives set by brand managers/manufacturers
• Excellent English language speaking and writing skills
• Computer literate
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude!
• Clean police record
• Associate Degree preferred but not essential
• Open to all in Cayman and overseas – relocation package offered
