Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of construction projects from pre-construction
  through completion.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
• Manage tendering and procurement, including subcontractor and supplier evaluations, pricing,
  and negotiations.
• Monitor project costs, valuations, variations, commitments, cash flow, and forecasts to maintain
  budget control.
• Prepare and assess interim valuations, payment applications, variations, change orders, and final
  accounts.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Work closely with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients on
  commercial and contractual matters.
• Support the delivery of commercial, residential, fit-out, civil, infrastructure, refurbishment, and
  structural construction projects.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management,
  or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally across
  commercial and residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, procurement, valuations, variations, cost control,
  and final accounts.
• Experience with construction contracts, subcontractor management, and commercial risk
  management.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications.
• Strong numerical, analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating or cost-management software.
• RICS accreditation or progress toward chartership, and experience in the Caribbean or a similar
  international construction environment, would be an advantage.
