Senior Construction Accountant/Controller – Confidential Opportunity

A well-established and respected construction firm in the Cayman Islands is seeking a Senior Construction Accountant/Controller to lead its financial operations. This is a pivotal role for a hands-on accounting expert who thrives in a fast-paced, project-based setting and is ready to shape the financial future of a leading player in the industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive full-spectrum accounting operations: A/P, A/R, payroll, job costing, audits, and more.

• Own project-specific financials – from cost tracking and revenue recognition to compliance and reporting.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow planning.

• Ensure regulatory compliance, internal controls, and system integration (SAGE/VISTA).

• Be a strategic financial partner to leadership and mentor to the accounting team.

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years’ accounting experience in the construction sector, including 3+ years in leadership.

• Deep understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, % of completion, AIA billing, and contract compliance.

• CPA, CA, CMA or equivalent preferred.

• Construction software fluency (SAGE a big plus); strong Excel/PowerPoint chops.

• A sharp eye for detail, a strategic mindset, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
