Job Description:

As a Technical Claims Analyst specializing in Property and Casualty claims for our clients in Cayman, you will be a key member of our claims department, responsible for evaluating, processing, and managing complex property and casualty insurance claims. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient claims handling, accurate assessments, and exceptional customer service to policyholders and claimants.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Claim Assessment: Assess and evaluate complex property and casualty insurance claims to determine coverage, liability, and quantum.

  2. Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations, including reviewing documents, statements, and evidence related to claims. Collaborate with field adjusters and experts when necessary.

  3. Policy Analysis: Interpret insurance policies and contracts to determine the extent of coverage and applicability to specific claims.

  4. Reserve Management: Establish and maintain appropriate reserves for claims, adjusting them as new information becomes available.

  5. Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with policyholders, claimants, and legal representatives, ensuring fair and equitable resolutions.

  6. Documentation: Prepare detailed claim reports, documenting all activities, findings, and decisions in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

  7. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure that claims handling practices adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines.

  8. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests from policyholders, claimants, and internal stakeholders.

  9. Collaboration: Collaborate with underwriters, legal counsel, and other internal teams to resolve complex claims efficiently.

  10. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and consistency in claims handling processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property and casualty claims analysis and handling, with a focus on complex claims.
  • Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance policies, coverage, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
