Our client is a leading international Project Management Consultancy with an established track record of delivering complex, mission-critical developments across Asia-Pacific. With continued growth in the data centre sector, they have been appointed to deliver a 7.5MW Data Hall Fit Out project in Hong Kong and are seeking an experienced Design Director to lead the design management and technical coordination of this flagship project from design development through to construction and handover.

Acting as the senior design lead, you will take ownership of the full design process, managing multidisciplinary consultants, specialist designers, contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure all architectural, CSA, MEP, and white-space design packages are fully coordinated, buildable, and aligned with programme, budget, and operational requirements. You will drive design governance, technical reviews, value engineering, design risk management, and change control while ensuring compliance with Hong Kong regulations, client standards, and mission-critical performance requirements.

Working closely with the client, construction leadership, and project management team, you will provide strategic technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, resolving complex design challenges, supporting procurement and construction activities, and ensuring seamless coordination between design intent and on-site execution.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record leading the design delivery of complex data centres or other mission-critical, high-tech developments. Strong experience managing multidisciplinary design teams, coordinating highly technical MEP-intensive environments, and delivering projects through all design stages into construction is essential. Previous data hall or white-space fit-out experience will be highly regarded. A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline is preferred.
