Our client is a leading Engineering & Building Services Consultancy providing design and commissioning services to private and public sector clients around the world, with a well-established business in Singapore and a strong pipeline of work across their client base.
With continued growth in the mission critical sector, they are currently delivering expansion works for a Data Centre in Hougang and are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their busy Singapore team.
This role will offer a balanced exposure of 50% office-based design work and 50% site-based involvement, providing the opportunity to see projects through from detailed design to on-site coordination and implementation.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing electrical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documentation for data centre expansion works. You will take ownership of the allocated electrical design scope, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with local codes and standards, and alignment with client requirements. You will also manage submissions and follow up with relevant Authorities and clients to secure necessary approvals.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and client representatives, you will support design coordination, attend technical meetings, and provide site support during installation and commissioning phases to ensure design intent is maintained.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Electrical Engineer with experience in building services design, ideally within mission critical or data centre environments. You will have a strong understanding of local regulatory requirements in Singapore and proven experience liaising with the relevant Local Authorities to obtain project approvals. Proficiency in REVIT is advantageous, though not essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading global engineering consultancy with an enviable client base, offering exposure to high-profile data centre projects and excellent long-term career development prospects in Singapore’s growing mission critical sector.
