Responsibilities

• Shape and drive the AML/KYC approach across the client onboarding journey, keeping pace with regulatory expectations while supporting business scalability.
• Build out due diligence processes for both standard and higher-risk clients, applying a risk-based lens to assessment and ongoing monitoring.
• Maintain and evolve compliance policies, procedures, and controls, overseeing timely and accurate regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate audit activity from start to finish, close out findings promptly, and serve as the go-to contact for regulators and leadership.
• Work closely with Legal, Risk, and Operations to weave compliance into onboarding processes, and champion AML awareness through training.
• Identify ways to modernize and streamline AML/KYC systems through automation and improved workflows.
• Bring a pragmatic, strategic mindset to balancing regulatory demands with commercial priorities
• Build credibility and influence with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies through clear, confident communication.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business, or Law, or comparable practical experience.
• Additional qualification or certification in compliance (e.g., CAMS) an advantage.
• Substantial background in AML compliance, with a solid grasp of regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
• Sharp analytical mindset with strong risk-assessment capability.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline.
• Resilience and reliability when working to demanding timelines.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC technology platforms and compliance tools.
