Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and deliver evidence-based acupuncture treatments tailored to individual health needs and treatment goals.
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, monitoring patient progress and
    adjusting care as appropriate.
  • Educate patients on acupuncture, complementary therapies, wellness strategies, and self-management techniques.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with
    professional and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and allied healthcare professionals to provide coordinated,
    multidisciplinary care.
  • Support clinic growth through community outreach, wellness initiatives, and patient
    education activities.
  • Assist with clinic operations and contribute to quality improvement and continuing
    professional development.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Acupuncture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience as a licensed Acupuncturist (new graduates with
    exceptional qualifications may be considered).
  • Fully licensed for independent practice (no associate, provisional, or supervised status).
  • Eligible for registration with the Cayman Islands Council for Professions Allied with Medicine
    (CPAM).
  • Strong clinical assessment, patient communication, and documentation skills.
  • Patient-centered approach with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary
    team.

CPAM Registration Eligibility

Candidates should be eligible for registration with the Cayman Islands Council for Professions Allied with Medicine (CPAM). Qualifications commonly considered eligible (subject to CPAM approval) include:

  • United States: Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) with active state licensure and NCCAOM certification where applicable.
  • United Kingdom: Registered Acupuncturist with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) or another recognized professional body.
  • Canada: Registered Acupuncturist licensed by the applicable provincial regulatory authority.
  • Australia: AHPRA Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner (Acupuncturist).
  • South Africa: Registered Acupuncturist with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA).
  • New Zealand: Registered Acupuncturist with Acupuncture NZ or another recognized professional body.
  • Ireland: Registered Acupuncturist with the Acupuncture Council of Ireland (ACI) or another recognized professional body.
  • Jamaica: Licensed or registered Acupuncturist recognized by the relevant Jamaican regulatory authority or professional body.
