Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries, conditions, and movement disorders using evidence-based practice.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans to improve mobility,
    function, and pain management.
  • Deliver hands-on treatment, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, therapeutic
    modalities, and patient education.
  • Monitor patient progress, reassess outcomes, and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve
    optimal results.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with professional
    and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other allied health
    professionals, to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Promote injury prevention, ergonomic advice, and self-management strategies to support longterm patient health.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional
    development activities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physiotherapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-licensure clinical experience, with experience treating musculoskeletal
    (MSK) conditions.
  • Fully licensed for independent physiotherapy practice (no associate, provisional, or supervised
    status).
  • Eligible for registration with the Cayman Islands Council for Professions Allied with Medicine
    (CPAM).
  • Excellent clinical assessment, manual therapy, rehabilitation planning, and patient
    communication skills.
  • Strong written communication and clinical documentation abilities.
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems is advantageous.

CPAM Registration Eligibility

Candidates should be eligible for registration with the Cayman Islands Council for Professions Allied with Medicine (CPAM). Qualifications commonly considered eligible (subject to CPAM approval) include:

  • United States: Licensed Physical Therapist (DPT or equivalent) holding an active state licence.
  • United Kingdom: HCPC Registered Physiotherapist.
  • Canada: Registered Physiotherapist licensed by the applicable provincial regulatory body.
  • Australia: AHPRA Registered Physiotherapist.
  • South Africa: HPCSA Registered Physiotherapist.
  • New Zealand: Registered Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand.
  • Ireland: CORU Registered Physiotherapist.
  • Jamaica: Physiotherapist registered with the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine (CPSM) Jamaica.
