Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance and resolve engineering or construction-related issues.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, technical submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation.
• Assist with project scheduling, progress tracking, reporting, and risk identification.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure quality standards, project specifications, and health and safety requirements are met.
• Support procurement activities, including material tracking, delivery coordination, and subcontractor performance.
• Attend project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Assist with commissioning, project close-out, snagging, handover, and the maintenance of accurate project records throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar construction project delivery role.
• Experience working for a main contractor on medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Proven experience delivering residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, high-rise, or similar developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, contract administration, QA/QC processes, technical submittals, RFIs, and project reporting.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, managing construction packages, and supporting procurement activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management platforms such as Procore, Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced site environment.
• Experience working on projects valued at US$30M+ and/or in the Caribbean or other island locations is considered an advantage.
