Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of employee wellness programs, health education initiatives, wellness events, and onsite health screenings.
  • Promote wellness initiatives through internal communications, newsletters, wellness calendars, campaigns, and engagement activities to encourage participation.
  • Monitor program participation, collect feedback, prepare reports, and evaluate the effectiveness of wellness initiatives.
  • Manage wellness program records, participant databases, budgets, expense tracking, and the wellness portal.
  • Collaborate with HR, corporate stakeholders, and external partners to enhance wellness offerings and support new employee orientation when required.
  • Represent the wellness program within the organization and the wider community while maintaining professional certifications and industry knowledge.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the wellness facility, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality experience for members and guests.
  • Supervise fitness trainers, group fitness instructors, and front desk staff, providing coaching, performance management, scheduling, and ongoing development.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, resolve member concerns, oversee facility maintenance, equipment inspections, inventory management, and coordinate with maintenance and janitorial teams.
  • Manage membership systems, operational procedures, risk assessments, reception activities, and support marketing, membership growth, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health and Fitness, Human Performance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fitness, wellness, hospitality, or club management industry.
  • Experience managing fitness facilities, wellness centers, or similar operations, including staff supervision and program delivery.
  • Fitness certifications and/or personal training experience are highly desirable.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong knowledge of health, wellness, fitness programming, and facility operations.
  • Experience using membership management or fitness software such as GymMaster, MINDBODY, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with members, staff, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Strong administrative, reporting, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other digital systems, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
